Renee graduated from Johns Hopkins University a year early in May 2022 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. During her undergraduate, Renee was an NCAA All-American swimmer, researched composite tissue allotransplantation, and was selected to be a Design Team leader. Since June 2022, she has worked with Dr. Lucia Sobrin investigating the epidemiology and genetics of complex retinal diseases. At Mass Eye & Ear, she has also co-founded the Environmental Music Program and participated in two medical service trips to India and Nepal. Her research interests lie in merging technology and medicine to improve patient-centered care and increase global accessibility to healthcare. Beginning in August 2024, Renee will pursue a one-year Masters in Global Affairs as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China before returning to the US to start medical school.
