Katie graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2024 with a B.A. in Public Health Studies with a concentration in Health Policy and Management. Throughout her undergraduate education, she researched the effectiveness of the Screening, Intervention, and Brief Motivational Interviewing (SBIRT) program for minority youth at risk for substance use. Her honors thesis details the changes in STI testing following participation in a modified SBIRT program. Katie currently works with Dr. Sobrin to research the genetics of uveitis and steroid-induced ocular pressure rise and recruit patients for the Uveitis and Retinopathy Biorepository and a Retina Biobank.
