Biography
Iyad Majid is an undergraduate student at the University of California: Santa Barbara working towards a biology degree. He shadowed an ophthalmologist starting university, sparking his passion for ophthalmology. He grew interested in AI and has worked with Dr. Sophia Wang at Stanford over the past year integrating various forms of clinical data with AI to predict the progression and outcome of glaucoma in a patient. His research interests expand to applications of artificial intelligence in diagnosing and predicting the progression of ophthalmic diseases.
